It's an art that is about getting forgotten. It's also an art that is
nowhere being taught seriously. Some time ago I've seen a development
department where they didn't even know what the -O option is for. No
kidding. If it's about efficient algorithems the situation is even worse.

Be prepared to buy 2gb memory - you'll need them sooner than you think :-(
