I've read the linux/Documentation/fb.txt and vesafb.txt as well as the
source for vesafb and tried both vesa:ywrap and vesa:ypan but nothing
seems to work. I get no errors or otherwise in the logs or on the
screen during boot.
Does panning only work when I'm running an 80x25 screen? I've got a
Compaq Armada 1592DMT notebook here and told vesafb to do 800x600x16
which gives me a BEAUTIFUL 100x30 or so text mode, but no way to
scroll it apparently.
Oh yes -- about 2 out of 3 boots, my golden Tux never appears... Is
this a configuration error?
Any help would be appreciated.
