BTW, I really hate this subject line.

My two cents: I would like to see Linus update the patch submission
instructions at the top of the MAINTAINERS file, and perhaps move it
into a separate document ("how to submit kernel changes"). There are
so many people writing patches now that I think the process, whatever
it is, needs up-to-date explicit documentation distributed with the
kernel source.

Linus, if you think of yourself as a saturated network card receiver,
help us become better senders.

Usually when someone says "I would like to see a file changed" the
onus is on them to provide an implementation, but, uhhh, this is all
about what Linus wants to receive, not what my opinion on what would
be good for Linus to receive. Personally I am happy with the
guidelines already in MAINTAINERS, and when I submit a patch, I follow
those guidelines.

Cheers,
