Hi there, I have some of questions regarding
Dell PowerEdge 6300 server & SMP:

1. Has anyone successfully run Linux 2.0.x SMP
with quad Xeon config?

I have been successfully running Linux 2.0.36pre12 since Saturday on an intel
Aspen/Drake (AD450NX) Quad Xeon system after fixing a bug in the deadlock
avoidance code (patch sent to linux-smp and now in 2.0.36pre13).

2. If not, is it due to Intel 450NX chipset or the Xeon or?

Intel Adler Quad Pentium Pro systems exhibited similar problems, so it was
specific to > 2 processor systems, not to Xeon or 450NX.

3. Is the "PERC" raid controller *fully* supported by kernel 2.0.x?

4. Has the "Quad CPU dead lock" been resolved in 2.0.x kernel?

I hope so.

Leonard
