Linus doesn't like CVS. Personally, I'd think a judiciously commited-to[1]
CVS tree would be a better place for Linus to haul patches into the

[1] e.g. where only the core teams can commit, and guidelines ensure
that only patches that compile are checked in, with intelligent
comments.
