: Just wondering about something:
: Does Linux have a kernel or user space function similar to Solaris's
: volume management (not just autofs)? I am looking for something that
: will automount a cd or scsi disk on insertion (not on access), and
: when you type "eject <device>" it will attempt to unmount and eject
: the media.

Solaris's volume management is really, really annoying to many people.
It made it almost impossible to just stick a floppy in and tar to/from
it because the automounter had it locked.
