2.1.121 oddities

1) Should this be possible?
$ ls -al
total 6
drwxr-xr-x 3 mike mike 1024 Sep 13 20:23 .

(this is on an ext2 filesystem)

If, as I suspect, it shouldn't, I will try and replicate the problem (I
know _roughly_ what I did, but not very exactly...)

2) There's a wierd problem with APM console blanking.
At boot time, I do:
setterm -powersave vsync
setterm -blank 5
setterm -powerdown 30
setterm -store

Now if I leave the machine for between 5 and 30 minutes, everything is
fine. However is I let the monitor turn off after 30 mins then the screen
will not unblank. The monitor comes back on with no problem, but the
screen is plain black. Switching in to X and out again restores things.

3) / does not unmount on shutdown - it says it is busy. This did not happen
with 2.1.120 (I saw some reports of it there)

4) Unresolved symbol strnicmp in isofs.o
