2.1.121 SMP bug ?

Hello,

I have a solid hang during boot with 2.1.121 and SMP on a DUAL Pentium
GA586DX board. It works fine without SMP=1 in Makefile.
It seems that the hang occurs during ide init.
Last message was:
PIIX3: IDE controller on PCI bus 00 dev 39
PIIX3: not 100ative mode: will probe irqs later
ide0: BM-DMA at 0xf000-0xf007, BIOS settings: hda:pio, hdb:pio
ide1: BM-DMA at 0xf008-0xf00f, BIOS settings: hd

Steve Tate's "SMP locking bug" fix won't work, it hangs on the same place.
Any hints ?
