2.1.122-pre1 and pre2: boot logo no-go

(Didn't try bare-bones 2.1.121). When booting 2.1.122pre[1-2], there's
no longer a boot logo as there was with 2.1.120 and prior with the
frame buffer console. Things seems to work well otherwise though.
