Problems in 120 & 121

I have been running the development kernel on an SMP PR440FX MB with no
problems until now. It is a Dual PPro with a built-in EEPro 100.

Starting with 120 the kernel locks upon detection of the IDE controller.
There were two patches floating around with 120, one concerning ldt.c and
another concerning the strnicmp function. After applying these patches the
kernel then booted correctly. Why they made any impact I am unsure.

However, 121 exhibits the same symptoms as did 121. No changes to the
system have been made. The system is booting from a 9 GB Seagate IDE. I
have tried with and without enabling DMA, to no avail.

I am running out of ideas as to why this is happening.

The IDE Controller is a PIIX3 and I get the warning not 100% native mode
will probe IRQs later on 119.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great..
