2.1.121: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference (fbbd)

Hello,

Just noticed a _repeatable_ kernelmessage when playing with xfbb (ax25)
which crashes at that time:

Not sure it's a kernel or a linux-fbb issue, bet let's ask here first.
I noticed this with the 2.1.121 kernel and prior numbers, no idea when
this started. xfbbd is the latest G version in case it matters.

Argh! All right, so how am I supposed to work with Linux when
everything's already been done?! Can't these people leave some
broken MSDOS like parts so there's problems left to solve!?....
