Actually one can pick up a PPro 200 w/1024k L2 cache for something like
$750 ea. But still, that's way beyond my means, unfortunately, or I'd have
bought two of these by now. If the price were to drop to $250.. that'd be
a different story.

I've just checked and a Xeon w/1024k L2 cache costs something like $3300.
