I've been using 2.0.36 pre6 for a while without any problems. Last week I came
back to campus, and I got two solid lockups when using ethernet (which I hadn't
used during the summer). I also have a PCI ne2k clone. I installed pre7, and
I've been using it without any problems a few days now (*knock on wood*).

(looking trough the logs I now notice an "Unable to handle kernel paging
request at virtual address c4650004" Oops just before the latest lockup)

Btw, if I put my ne2k in promisc mode I also get random lockups. This has
happened with all kernel versions (2.0.27->) I've tested, so I've assumed my
card is slightly broken.
