Any heads-up moving from 2.0.34 to 2.1.115?

Now that the 2.1.XXX seems to be nearing completion I've decided to take
the plunge and check out a development kernel. I've d/l'd the entire
2.1.115 kernel source and made it a home in my /usr/src directory.
Before I go building/installing the thing (I'm using egcs-2.91.50 for
builds, btw) I was wondering if there was anything I needed to alter in
my RedHat 5.1 Intel install? Also, can I use the same .config file from
my 2.0.34 or is that a bad idea?

thanx & later,
