Ok... That makes sense... Now... Is there any way to determine
that information and then provide it or parameterize it to the video
drivers so they can use it? I would assume that most of that should be
determined by the make and model of the card. I can see where the memory
address might be more fluid or flexible, but the rest of that ought to
be hardware...
BTW... I'm working with a Diamond Steath 3D 2000 which uses the
S3 Virge X11 server and experiencing the same problems so I'm guessing that
I'm also dealing with one of these VBE 1.2 cards...
