3c59x again

Hi,

tonight I got the dreaded "eth0: transmit timed out" error again.
Kernel 2.0.34, driver 0.99e. It happened during backup so CPU and
network load were quite high at that time. CPU 5x86/133, RAM 64 MB,
Ethernet adapter 3c590 with BNC connector.

But I must add that the kernel is compiled with pgcc 1.02 and option -O6.

I know this is probably not supposed to work with 2.0.34. But I
report it anyway. IMO 2.0.35 should work with egcs/pgcc since the
2.0.x line certainly will exist for a rather long time, and gcc
seems to become outdated, as more and more people switch to egcs.
We shouldn't require people to keep two compiler versions if they
have to recompile the kernel.
