Hello guys,

In fs/proc/base.c there is a function proc_pid_fill_inode() that is used
as fill_inode() operation for /proc/<pid>/* files. Now, when it overrides
the default 0/0 uid/gid for inode->i_uid/gid fields it uses p->euid and
p->gid. If the effective uid is used why not use effective gid also? Or,
if the real gid is used why not use real uid also? Which way is
*right* (*right* here is assumed to mean "correct to the degree of
being admitted into the Official Kernel = OK")?
