Hi,
I am now experiencing a console lockup on my tty4 console.
I currently just stopped my Apache 1.3.0 server on tty4, then did
Ctrl-rightbutton to bring up my gpm-root menu to click on a command that sent
SIGSTOP to a few unneeded net servers (namely, rpc.portmap/mountd/nfsd since I
don't use them that often). I noticed that once I clicked on it, my mouse froze
and the gpm-root window would not go away. Furthermore, pressing Scroll Lock to
try and unlock it (since gpm-root sets scroll lock) would not work. However, I
can switch to other consoles and use them, but on tty3 I tried doing:
cat >/dev/tty4
and then typing ESCc to reset the console--that "cat" program is now in an
uninterruptable sleep, and won't come out.

This is Linux kernel 2.1.105ac5
486DX/33 (16.49 BogoMIPS)
Compiled using gcc-2.8.1
8MB RAM -- the system was swapping heavily (two lynx's running, two users logged
in, one using ytalk, while I was ytalk'ing with him as well.)
