Maybe this question has ever been asked, so please apologize me if it's the case ...
I have a SAMSUNG 32X Max and it can deal with PIO Mode 1/2/3/4. When I let it choose
PIO Mode 3 or 4, it isn't detected by Linux Kernel but it is in Mode 1 or 2. I think
it's a matter of DMA handling (but I'm not sure): maybe some of you can correct this,
it's quite anoying because everytime I switch between M$ and Linux (well ...) I need to
change a parameter in the BIOS.
This "bug" occures with all kernels (2.0.x, 2.1.x) and I have an Asustek P2L97 motherboard.
