linux-2.1.106pre is toxic

Lasted just long enough to get the previous message out, then panicked.
I was running ncftp + fetchmail via CSLIP at the time. Somehow emacs got
messed up, it didn't insert chars correctly. A couple of files in /var were
messed up on boot.

The info didn't make it to the disk, sorry.
