Confirmed. When getting OR putting file in ascii mode between such computers,
the window is sometimes decreased until it reaches 0 and then increases to 1 or 2
times MTU.

BUT: when transfering the same file (all zeros) in BINARY mode, the window
never got below 26xxx bytes and performance was fine.

What is it?
