Clearly memory management issues exist with wimpy (less then half
gigabyte RAM) machines. Disk cache makes unlimited demands on RAM.
System usage, including dentries, make substantial demands, User process
virtual memory make demands. And other features like /tmp in cache are
on the horizon.

Memory resource management is needed, but seems to be absent. When RAM
is low, bad things happen. When RAM is high, no management is required.
