This really depends on the amount/cost of the flash, not the RAM. People
using Linux in small flash devices are very sensitive to just a few K
increase in compressed kernel size. And modules dont help in this situation.
The cost of 2.0->2.2 in a limited flash device is quite large. 2.2 will
have more features and thats the tradeoff to consider. If you can get
away with it 1.0.9 is a lovely kernel wrt to size.
