SG_BIG_BUFF question/enhancement

I originally posted this to the linux-scsi list, but had no response.
Has anyone yet put SG_BIG_BUFF above 32K?
I'm (trying) to write a film recorder driver, and due to the limited
intelligence of the device, it needs all print data in one lump after
the SCSI command. Realistically, I need to get SG_BIG_BUFF to around
128MB. We do a similar trick on SGIs (systune -i max dma size) to drive
the devices. There are so many ints in sg.c and I really have no
experience in kernel hacking that this looks a little daunting - can
anyone help here?
