egcs 1.0.2 is quite stable. I tend to think the bug is in the Linux
kernel. I have found a few kernel 2.1.9x bugs with egcs 1.0.2
and binutils 2.9.1.0.3.
(BTW, then why do you post often to egcs/binutils/glibc lists that
these tools are "completely broken" ;-)
This bug in particular was fixed, it was a kernel bug, and the fix is
in pre-100.
