What is the status of UDMA support in the IDE driver?
I have a PIIX4 IDE controller and a fairly recent Maxtor 6.1G drive both of which should be able to handle multiword dma mode [0-2]. When trying to set any of these modes with hdparm, the machine stops dead in its tracks at next disk access, the drive light on.
So, am I being a loser are this something tha isn't implemented?
