2.1.99: mad init ?

I noticed something strange with 2.1.99: init has been running for 19
hours out of an uptime of 27 hours.

(root@melchior) ~ # ps ax|grep init
1 ? R 1140:49 init
(root@melchior) ~ # uptime
6:06pm up 1 day, 3:06, 5 users, load average: 1.28, 1.18, 1.12

I also got a few (7) TCPv4 bad checksums, that I had never ever
seen before.

Other than that, it seems to be pretty stable. As usual, I can provide
detailed information about my setup.
