first of all i was really happy to have sound back on my workstation yesterday
as i launched the new 98 kernel (PNP SB16 needed sound as module...)
But on my laptop still i get strange messages:
Sound: DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?

My sound setting is as follows:

# CONFIG_SB_DMA=1
# CONFIG_SB_DMA2=5
# CONFIG_SB_MPU_BASE=330
and it works until kernel 2.1.86........
Some stated some time ago that thsi was a IRQ 7 prob..... unfortunaley due to
the fact that i have no real influence on the settings in this laptop.... i am
stuck to that IRQ....
BTW could someone remind me or point me in the right direction on how to achieve
Powerdown and not system halt on my laptop?
