I've got two machines (virtually identical). Main diff is one is running
RAID5 on three 2G SCSI disks. This machine was running fine on 2.1.89 but
2.1.90 locked up solid within a couple of hours (the other non-RAID box has
had no problems). Rebooting under 2.1.90 again and doing a "ckraid" caused
another lockup within minutes. Same behaviour occurred in 91 and 92 but
disappeared (at least hasn't occurred again) in 93 and 94. Under 90-92 I
could lock up the system every time doing a "ckraid' (I always went back to
2.1.89 for stability).
This seems to jive with the block device problems being mentioned now.
Perhaps the RAID banging on 3 disks is a good way to trigger this? Since
booting on 93 I've not had to do a "ckraid" yet -- might be able to do that
this weekend.
I'm running 2.1.94 now (so far with no problems -- has been up for one day).
