Maybe your keyboard doesn't support SysRq at all. Try 'showkey -k' and test
whether keycode 0x54 appears when you press SysRq. In case it doesn't, choose
some other key (e.g., one of the Windoze keys) and change #define SYSRQ_KEYS
in include/asm/keyboard.h to its keycode.
