I can't tell if it's the program or the RAID driver in the kernel... If I
attempt to use raid0 (or raid 1 for that matter), mdadd -ar segfaults (the
first part, attaching the partitions to the /dev/mdx works, but starting the
RAID driver or whatever it does makes it segfault) I have no problems with
linear mode tho.
