Go and grab sysklogd-1.3-25.i386.rpm from the redhat contrib directory
(it isn't in the updates because RH5.0 is meant to use the 2.0 kernel
series which doesn't have the problem [does it?]).
It incorporates the simple fix (to use _llseek instead of lseek), and is
working fine at least for me.
