Hmmm... I think I found some relative of this the other day. I don't have
any IDE drives on my home machine, but I do have an IDE CD-ROM so the IDE
stuff is compiled right into the kernel.
For some reason, lilo tries to open /dev/hda even though the lilo.conf
doesn't say anything about it. It does eventually continue, but it takes
quite a while.
I didn't notice this in 2.1.90 (it is quite obvious, especially during a
make install).
