2.0.34pre4 and OSS and cpuinfo troubles

I've got 2.0.34pre4 installed on a RedHat 5.0 system will all updates and
binutils 2.8.1.0.27. I am getting errors installing OSS sound system,
installs fine on 2.0.33.

unresolved symbol pcibios_write_config_dword_R71362d96

Also, cpuinfo say the stepping of this processor is -1?
