when i use the modularized ppp driver the interface simply isn't there...
i.e., pppd can't activate the interface. the module is indeed loaded and
"there" (checked with lsmod).
if i load the module with modprobe or insmod, the result is the same.
the problem happens when the server had uptime about 14 days which is
aprox. 140 ppp connects. after a reboot the system seems stable for
another 14 days.
kernel: 2.0.30
i now went over to include ppp statical into the kernel.
but soon this server will get isdn boards, and the i do NEED modules for
ppp :-(.
i do need to know which kernel >= 2.0.30 runs ok with modularized PPP
(2.0.27 did)
