2.1.89 is innocent in this case:

> CONFIG_EXT2_COMPRESS=y
> CONFIG_EXT2_IND_BITMAP=y
> CONFIG_EXT2_USE_GZIP=y

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ is the problem.

I would like ext2 compression to be integrated. If not soon, could
please someone mail me fix? Reason why I don't just go and download
new version of ext2 compression patches is that I would have to
reverse previous ones. Not trivial task :-(.
