Random thoughts about 2.2

Dear readers,
this mail is only meant to lobby about a couple of features I'd
like to see in 2.2. Skip it if you think it is of no interest...

1. I still hear about ACL, but never have seen something like them... now,
I read something against ACLs and in favour of capabilities... but still
think my own problems will get much nearer to a good solution with ACL...

2. I use (and like) Stephen's supermount [meta-]file-system. I think it
should get into 2.2, more so because I think the use for really
automounting removable storage is much more general than the one for
automounting network file systems (I use both supermount and autofs,
therefore I'm really not biased against the latter)

3. How about those MSR/CPU profile reading/writing
devices/proc-entries/kctl?

These are my most needed enhancements, therefore, I don't comment about
anything else, just wish you a good day.

Yours,

lorenzo
