2.0.33: ide need scsi?

Sorry if this is a known problem, but I'm not on any of the kernel lists, but
I figure that if it look importants, someone will take interest.
While making a minimalistic 2.0.33 intel kernel (stock kernel plus ipsec 0.7
which isn't compiled, plus ppp 2.2.0g, which is.)

I get this error compiling:
