I tried commenting out the 16 MB swap partition from /etc/fstab, but got
the same oops after rebooting. Here's what "free" said at that time:
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 30924 16992 13932 41444 2308
-/+ buffers: 14684 11624
Swap: 0 0 0 5956
I didn't have any modules loaded.
Hardware: PC clone with 32 MB SDRAM, 150 MHz Cyrix 6x86L, VIA VT
82C585/VT 82C586 motherboard, two IDE hard drives, Tekram DC-300B
(AHA-1542 clone), PCI NE2000 clone Ethernet with the Realtek 8029 chip,
floppy, VGA, modem, and AT-compatible keyboard.
