I have a patch against 2.0.33 that adds the `transname' facility,
which I have begun to experiment with. This is adapted from the
patch made available by its author, which was made against 2.0.21.
In addition, I have marked up the documentation with SGML-Tools'
linuxdoc sgml.
You may download it at:
http://www.inetarena.com/~karlheg/Public/linux-2.0.33-transnames.diff.gz
... I've got another patch, against the 2.1.85 kernel that adds `make
xconfig' support for the transnames features. I hope that the
responsible people will roll it into the kernel distribution, unless
there's some reason not to. Please contact me, and I will mail it to
you or put it in my HTTP directory.
