About loops and EMAIL->NEWS->EMAIL setups...

Duplicate messages are again seen on lists again due to misconfigured
MAIL->NEWS->MAIL gateway. In a harsh move ALL redestb.es users were
removed from all of VGER lists to stop that from reoccurring.

Here is a sort of "Standard Sermon" I have been brewing for these
cases. Folks, understand it!

Doing unidirectional feeding of LINUX-lists to local news
system is simple and ok, but trying to feed things back
out from news to the list is classified as advanced rocket
science which thy shall never try!

This is because in our long experience very rare people
are able to do that without causing loops and message
duplication on the lists! You don't see it on News,
because News systems suppress messages with duplicate
message-ids, however email does not... Thus:

NEVER BUILD BIDIRECTIONAL LIST <-> NEWS GATEWAY!

If you think you are sophisticated enough to do it, have
a more humbler approach... Refer to our experience!

Those gateways need duplicate suppression, and are NOT
any simple animals! If you are an Email-Wizard that
can do it properly, have your setup approved by VGER
admins, write a HOWTO on it, and then we MAY make an
exception on it -- and possibly approve other gws which
are built with those instructions..

... but the moment it fails, we zap it at first, and
if we are in good mood, we might tell you that the
feed has been cut off.
