Hi,
Assuming speed is limited by the parallel port, I'll give you some figures
I've achieved with my parallel port ZIP drive...
2.0.x -- 50kb/sec
2.1.x -- 350kb/sec
Maybe you will get similar speeds with PLIP. The new parport stuff is
pretty cool, supporting the newer ECP modes etc.
