I run the StrongARM applications software group in Reading, England. I would
not say assimilated. Speaking as me (a habit I've picked up from Maddog) Linux
is important enough to me to be a criteria for job acceptance. That is, no Linux
work, no me. As an aside, ARM themselves are extremely supportive of Linux and of
Free Software (ie GNU tools). For example, I ported the ARM compiler, assembler and
debugger to Intel Linux for them. I'm not sure when/how they'll release that but
they're interested in Linux hosted work if they see demand.
StrongARM is itself a trademark so it's ok just to say 'StrongARM' but in a little
while it will be 'Intel StrongARM'.
