My atx Active I Admiral matherboard support the shutdown power saving
option. So it' s able to shutdown the power via software.

Some months ago my brother Giacomo reported me that running a high
graphics video game under Windows 95 the computer shutdown the power
without any warning. This was very reproducible and happen after ~30 min
after the boot. After that strange shutdown (that I supposed due to
Windows or Direct X or so on...) the machine don' t restart the power for
5 min also pressing the power on button. This happened also with one
another game even if less reproducible. So I told my brother to not use
that videogames.

Yesterday and today the motherboard shutdown using linux!!!! 2.1.81. The
same effect of Windows. After ~30 minutes after the boot the power goes
down and I had to wait 5 min after the poweroff in order to reboot the
machine (waiting that the the power on button works again).

I should try to downgrade to 2.1.80 that was rock solid, but I' d like to
talk with somebody that know something about atx and I' d like to know
what can disable the power on button for some minutes.

The CPU is a Pentium MMX 233Mhz. The machine powerdown while I was
compiling a program for the University (not a very high load). This is my
only machine...

Thanks in advance,

PS. Now my more used program is sync :).
