Could you check your patch base please? I get this when I apply to
stock 2.1.80 (straight out of the tar file from ftp.kernel.org):
duracef:~/linux$ patch -p1 --quiet -E < ../sound.80.diff
1 out of 24 hunks failed--saving rejects to drivers/sound/soundcard.c.rej
Also check the SOUND_ENCAPS code in audio_ioctl. I think you applied
something else to your 2.1.80 before making the patch. Thus I can't
patch on my system.
