My logs are full of messages like the one below, garbage module names..
This problem crept up in 2.1.79 and 2.1.80pre3.. It seems to occur
whenever I log in or an ident request is made.. eg

Jan 18 15:27:56 bucket modprobe: can't locate module ph^??^DB^F@4i^??@^B
Jan 18 15:27:56 bucket modprobe: can't locate module
Jan 18 15:27:56 bucket identd[11670]: from: 192.168.0.34 ( bucket ) for:

Jan 18 15:27:56 bucket identd[11670]: Successful lookup: 2781 , 25 :

Jan 18 15:36:53 bucket modprobe: can't locate module
Jan 18 15:36:53 bucket modprobe: can't locate module )x^K@^A
Jan 18 15:36:55 bucket PAM_pwdb[11683]: (login) session opened for user
root by
(uid=0)
Jan 18 15:36:55 bucket PAM_pwdb[11683]: ROOT LOGIN ON ttyp1 FROM shed

I am running a RedHat 5 system, with modutils 2.1.71..

Does anyone else have these problems or have an idea what is causing this?

Regards,

Dave.
