With pachlevel 2.1.68 the net_alias.c along with other stuff is gone
and with it the /proc/net/aliases and /proc/net/alias_types files are
no longer present.
Additionally the aliased interfaces do not show up in /prov/net/dev,
because they are no longer directly chained in the dev_base list.
Maybe it was a feature to remove this, but then
linux/Documentation/networking/alias.txt needs an update too ;-)
Are there planes to revive the old /proc/net/{aliases,alias_types}
files and the presence in /proc/net/dev ?
Is anyone working on this ?
