At any rate, kernel 2.1.65, which I tried in the past, compiled and
ran OK with respect to the sound problem, but had some other
difficulties, so I switched back to 2.0.32 for a while after I upgraded
to Redhat 5.0.
Now, I'd like to get rvplayer working again - but for some reason
that I can't immediately see, the sound portion of the kernel won't
compile for want of some of some undefined references, viz:
