pre 2.2 cleanup items: followup

Ok, I'm a bozo... I complained about all the redefinition of various
__ver_vfat_xxx instances with CONFIG_MODVERSIONS defined, and the problem
turned out to be a dangling namei.ver file dated sometime back in the
October 1997 timeframe. Sigh... "make mrproper" probably would have
caught it, but in my defense, "make mrproper" has been known to be, er,
ah, "overly thorough" in recent times so I've gotten out of the habit of
using it casually.
