[2.1.78][BUG:xconfig] There is an error in the script if you choose 'sound'

I did "make xconfig", and everything went fine until I chose "sound"
from the main menu. At that point wish complained about the syntax of
some source line and refused to proceed: it just went back to the main
menu. I'd give the exact error but I already started compiling.
BTW, is it normal to have about five errors like
Broken Config.in: N not defined!
Broken Config.in: PPC_MAC not defined!

or something like that?
